Roundup: Weekend 27th February 2009

I’m not too keen on banging on about bad luck etc as I’m pretty sure it evens itself out and its rare to hear people say how lucky they are! Overall I am pleased with the weekend despite it being a loser. The corner bet was a winner as Arsenal had 11 corners to Fulham’s 6. Leeds led 2-0 before being pegged back to 2-2 and then went on to win 3-2 to give us a void bet. Palermo were 1-0 down early on before Marco Bresciano was sent off after 16 mins and they went on to lose 4-0. Who knows what would have happened if they had remained 11 men for Palermo but I should possible have been more wary as this was the Sicilian derby. The final game was in Portugal where Maritimo beat Setubal 5-1. When I checked the goal minutes it was a bit hard to see Setubal scored in the 90th minute scuppering the clean sheet bet.

Things could have been very different but there you go. In Spain Barcelona lost again, this time to Atletico, and suddenly the title race is back on. Valencia’s players still await to be paid and this seems to be having a real effect on them as they lost again.

101 Bets (96 points staked) :: 35 won – 58 lost – 7 void – 1 half void :: -11.27 points

With a decent English program this midweek I’ll post any bets I find tomorrow evening..

* This does not include the 3 antepost bets.
