MidWeek 13th April 2009

Caught a bit on the hop by the bank holiday fixtures. Sheffield United look solid but 1.62 is not a big price and would need to combine them in a double somewhere, possibly with Birmingham.

Birmingham v Plymouth (English Championship: Monday )

Both teams need the win here but Birmingham need it more. There’s a slight risk Argyle may go down but they probably need 2 wins from the last 5 games to be sure. I don’t think they’ll get it here. Birmingham have the best home record in the league and have conceded a paltry 14 goals in 21 games at St Andrews. Away Plymouth have managed just 12 goals in 21 matches so I can see them drawing a blank here. Brum aren’t big scorers themselves and I think a Split stake on 2 correct scores is the way to go.

++ Correct Score – Birmingham 1-0, 2-0 @ 7 (both)  on Betfred/Ladbrokes (2 x ½pt)

1 point staked.

Good luck in whatever bets you do.

Roundup: Weekend 11th April March 2009

Another frustrating weekend. The draw/draw bet looked like being a winner but two goals in the last minute and stoppage time meant it wasn’t to be. Oxford won but the corner bet was a loser as there were only 6 corners in the match. Only one Pompey home game all season has had less than that and just one West Brom away game.

I never summarised the weekend before but it was an even weekend Hertha Berlin lost but Peterborough won the AH bet at evens so we stayed the same.

123 Bets (118 points staked) :: 40 won – 74 lost – 7 void – 2 half void :: -22.36 points

* This does not inclu de the 3 antepost bets.
