MidWeek 10th March 2009

Apologies for the briefness of all this but time has got the better of me.

Chester v Rotherham (English League One: Tuesday 7:45pm)

Chester are in big trouble as this is not the time of the season when you want to have the worst form in the league but that is what they have. The last time they won a game was on boxing day and that’s 14 matches winless. Only Grimsby have a worse home record than them Rotherham arrive with decent form. They have kept clean sheets in their last 5 games winning 3 of those matches. Away from home their record is decent (8th best in the league) and if it wasn’t for their points deductions they would be in the playoff mix. Currently they would have 51 points which puts them in 9th but would have between 4-5 games in hand on all the teams up to Wycombe in second place. Winning 3 of those games and they would have been sitting in 3rd place. This is a good team that you don’t see because the points deduction skews it.

++ Win Market – Rotherham @ 2.1 on Blue Sq/Betfred (1pt)

I also like 2 or 3 goals in the Preston v Sheffield Wednesday bet. I need to do some number crunching for this as the price is always set at 1.91 it would be easy to see if historically this could be profitable.

1 point staked.

Good luck in whatever bets you do
