After the recent good run maybe were due something like this butit has dented last months profits. I can only try and learn some lessons from weekends like this as we are down -3.4 points. Firstly, I think I need to limit the amount of bets I do each weekend to 5-6 and also try to keep the points staked to 5 at the most. There were also 3 bets with odds of 11/4 or over and that's probably too many as even though I think there was value in them the odds of them all losing on a weekend are reasonably high. 8 1/2 losers in the last 11 bets is not a good run but hopefully we can move out of that now and try to get the month back into profit.
Atletico Madrid beat Barcelona and it coincided with the return of Simao which makes a huge difference and Aguero once again showed his class. Some big games in the Champions League this week and Madrid look to have Pepe and Robinho back which will make a huge difference but Ruud Van Nistelrooy didn't play at the weekend so will be interesting to see if he returns.
SSS Tips
A lot of games to look back on and will start with Middlesbrough v Reading as that featured in 2 bets. The game finished 1-0 to Reading so we didn't get the 1-0 Boro half time quote and they also only managed 9 corners. On the corner front Reading only had 2 corners which was their lowest tally of the season and only the 3rd time they have had less than 6 corners so I feel unlucky there. The double came unstuck in Germany as Bochum won 2-0 so didn't make the over part of the bet but we had a 0-0 in France so the under part obliged. Cardiff were losing to Leicester at HT so that bet was sunk and Bear's words about avoiding the championship came back to haunt me. Villareal drew 0-0 so landed the HT draw bet part but couldn't do anything in the second half which meant this game produced a small profit. Bremen beat Dortmund 2-0, when we needed 3 goals and Lorient and Nancy drew 0-0 so we lost half a point there. The final game was the Real Madrid one and they obliged for us in a lively affair beating Reacreativo 3-2.
