Week 17 Roundup (01/12/08)

A better weekend as a profit was achieved (0.35) but could have been better. Real Betis were drawing with Valencia in the second half, with an extra man and the momentum but threw it away losing 3-2. Barcelona were very impressive on Saturday night crushing Sevilla and with Madrid losing again and being rocked by injuries it looks like Barcelona could be in a very strong position come Christmas. They were a comfortable winner for us and the other winners were the corner bet as Chelsea and Arsenal shared just 5 corners and Aston Villa and Fulham drawing at Half Time.

The losers were Barnsley going down 1-0 to Forest, Betis as mentioned above and also Inter Milan and Napoli finishing 2-1 when we wanted under 1.5 goals.

63 bets (58½ points staked) :: 23 win – 5 void – 1 half void/loss – 31 losses :: -2.48

* This does not include the 2 antepost bets.

“If I lose today, I can look forward to winning tomorrow, and if I win today, I can expect to lose tomorrow. A sure thing is no fun.” – Chico Marx
