Weekend 24th January 2009 Roundup

This is one of the depressing write-ups. Of the 5 matches that made my shortlist none was a winner and only Barcelona which came up later was. Colchester drew 0-0, which was a big shock considering the amount of goals they have had previously. Barcelona won 4-1 and it could, and probably should, have been more. Both Messi and Eto’o were one-on-one at 4-1 and I was concerned it would have been sickening and ended up 4-1. The final game was Valencia and Mallorca scored early, then had a very dubious penalty before finishing the game off before half-time with a 3-0 lead. When I saw the Valencia team I was a bit gutted as both Villa and Joaquim were out injured. Villa is their goal machine and I thought from the fact he was jumping around on the bench in midweek that he was not injured. Joaquim was a shock though and it’s very hard at times to get information like this.

82 Bets (76.5 points staked) :: 30 won – 45 lost – 6 void – 1 half void :: -5.37 points

There’s a big set of midweek games so will look at those tonight and hopefully make inroads into the weekend losses..

* This does not include the 3 antepost bets.
